Explanation:

Detects if a SINGLE OBJECT harbors enchantment.

 

This spell does not inform the caster what the enchantment is within the object; only that is it enchanted.

 

To succeed make a successful avoidance-roll vs. “Intelligence” (x2 Intelligence = % chance).

 

If successful, the Enchanter will know there is an enchanted nature about the item.

This spell will only detect enchantment. An object that is set with a Bless or Curse cannot be discerned by this spell.

 

Class, Grade and Rank is considered as magic, but not enchantment (meaning this spell will not detect what level class, grade or rank an item is.

 

Class:

This is for magical armor with no other ability within the armor set (wardog armor, horse barding and the common armorings characters donn).

 

Grade:

This is for magical shields with no other ability within the shield).

 

Rank:

This is for magical weapons with no other ability within the weapon).

 

Note 2:

Enchantment Detection cannot reveal if a gem holds an enchantment. There is a reason for this which needs to be discovered during game-play.
